POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction and supervision of the Supervisor provides the development and management of coordinated counseling services to ensure optimum services are provided to clients.







POSITION DESCRIPTION:



· Provide clinical counseling services to assigned clients including initial assessment, treatment plan and discharge planning in accordance with departmental procedure and regulatory requirements.



· Participate in comprehensive interdisciplinary team treatment planning and activities as indicated or scheduled.



· Collaborate with other disciplines, and coworkers as needed in order to ensure client needs are met.



· Assist in the enforcement of program rules and regulations.



· Plan and manage the dissemination of program schedules and other information relative to events and activities.



· Monitor the collection of urine specimens and toxicology results.



· Manage telephone inquiries and provide program information, including information on alternative providers.



· Maintain up to date database of referral information and resources.



· Refer applicants to alternative services (e.g. Detoxification Units, Rehab Programs, etc.) as needed.







JOB COMPETENCY:



· Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) or (CASAC-T)



. Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years related experience, or Associate degree with 2-4 years related experience.Certified Alcoholism



· Minimum of 1 year experience working with the substance abuse population.



· Minimum of 3 years experience working in the social services field.



· Excellent written and oral communication skills.



· Ability to read, write and speak the English language.



· Knowledge of computer programs.



· Excellent organizational skills.



· Ability to read, write and speak the Spanish language preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Clinical Social Worker will assist homeless women with a primary diagnosis of serious and persistent mental illness, alcohol and substance abuse to restore or enhance their capacity for social functioning, while creating societal conditions favorable to their goals. The Clinical Social Worker must be able to independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of clients to formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the client’s problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills and assistance needed. The must have knowledge of community resources, how to make appropriate referrals to community and other governmental agencies for services, and ability to coordinate services.

Requirements

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

100% amount of time will be spent delivering clinical services.
Provide DSM diagnostic assessment and treatment plan and make appropriate recommendations and referrals and document in accordance with regulatory agencies and policy and procedures.
Implement interventions utilizing Evidence Based Practices
Participate in (IDT) interdisciplinary treatment team meetings focused on client mental health care.
Facilitate groups using Evidence Based Practices to assist and empower clients in improving their ability to manage their mental health needs and achieve recovery.
Consultation/supervision with attending psychiatrist and mental health specialist on best course of treatment recommendations and dispositions.


QUALIFICATIONS:



LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT Required

5 years of providing direct clinical services, preferably in a mental health setting addressing co-occurring disorders.
Knowledge of chemical dependency.
Very organized with excellent time management skills required to ensure seamless flow of clients in the clinic, timely submission of documentation and billing related documents.
Excellent interpersonal skills with staff and colleagues throughout VIP and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to verbally express ideas and concepts clearly to others.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Excellent written communication skills and ability to maintain charts as per policy and procedures.

Annual Base Salary: $224,000* (board eligible); $229,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $321,020** (board eligible) and $326,520** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401 (k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
