Overview:

Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: and Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Responsibilities:

The Nursing Attendant is a member of a team dedicated to provide the highest quality care and services to our patients by assisting in such functions as maintaining a safe, clean and functional environment; assisting with dietary aspects of care; facilitating communication, i.e., answering phones; transporting patients and assisting visitors.
As an integral part of the team, the Nursing Attendant is responsible for activities, which promote patient focused care within the Patient Unit.

Requirements:

-High School Graduate or equivalent with vocational/technical training preferred.
-Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
-Graduate of State Certified Program or 1-year clinical experience as a nursing student/foreign graduate nurse.

Casual Nurse Practitioner

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) assesses, plans, and implements observational and clinical research protocols in a research setting, independently or autonomous in collaboration with other health professionals. The NP is responsible for managing protocols for study subjects enrolled in therapeutic and non-therapeutic clinical and observational research studies of the MACS/WIHS Research study. This individual is expected to establish and maintain effective communication with professional and ancillary personnel, and to demonstrate a high degree of self motivation. Must be able to work with several members of the study team at various locations as needed.

Assist with protocol development, subject recruitment, and regulatory documentation.
Assess the health status of assigned study subjects. Review and interpret screening and diagnostic observations and report findings to the project director, data manager and principal investigators as indicated. Manage coordinate and assume responsibility for activities of the specific research protocol to ensure safe and competent care and effective protocol management.
Implement subject intake and schedule subjects for related studies.
Administer medications as needed per protocol.
Assess the health status of assigned study participants- perform medical histories, analyze laboratory results, and perform physical examinations (including pelvic exam and colposcopy and biopsies).
In collaboration with the research team, implement, and evaluate protocols based on subject assessment, and provide direct subject care to ensure implementation of specific research protocols.
Conduct research and clinical activities.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• Supervise and monitor nursing staff’s adherence to facility and nursing department policy and procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current NYS Registered Nurse License.
