The Health Career Bridge Program is an advanced learning experience for students who seek academic challenge and are ready to explore health careers. The program is a partnership between Bronx-Westchester Area Health Education Center, Knowledge and Power Preparatory Academy(KAPPA) High School, Bronx Academy of Health Careers and Montefiore School Health Program.
The Health Career Bridge Program occurs between the months of September-May, and students spend approximately 6 hours per week in program. Students’ time is divided between the working guidance of preceptors and bi weekly seminars which discuss health careers and health diparity topics. Program is geared toward students who are in their junior year at KAPPA International High School and Bronx Academy of Health Careers.
